Furness Diving Club is a branch of the British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC). The club today runs with a nucleus of about 45 members, the membership coming from all walks of life, all with the common interest in going diving.
Furness Diving Club was formed in the mid 50s. With just a few founder members, doing their early basic training in Cavendish dock. They carried on in the depths of winter using only jeans and woolly jumpers to protect them from the cold (brrrrrrr).

Want to learn to scuba dive? Scuba diving is an adventure open to anyone aged 10 or over and Furness Diving Club provides high-quality BSAC training for beginners.
Learn to divePADI, SSI or another agency qualified? Great! Joining our club is a great way to develop your scuba diving and to simply get out there and enjoy some great diving!
Already a diver?In the safe confines of the pool, a BSAC Instructor will introduce you to the basic skills and equipment needed to experience the thrill of breathing underwater for the very first time. Try Dive donation is £20.
A typical Try Dive session lasts about one hour. It involves poolside tuition on diving techniques and equipment, followed by a scuba dive in our pool with a BSAC-qualified instructor.
