Furness Diving Club was formed in the mid 50s. With just a few founder members, doing their early basic training in Cavendish dock. They carried on in the depths of winter using only jeans and woolly jumpers to protect them from the cold (brrrrrrr).
Furness Diving Club is a branch of British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC). The club today runs with a nucleus of about 45 members, the membership coming from all walks of life, all with the common interest in going diving.
We’d Love you to join us!
We meet at Life Leisure Barrow Park, Greengate St, Barrow-in-Furness on Tuesdays @7pm ready to dive in at 7.30pm
“Come & Dive with friends.”

In the safe confines of the pool, a BSAC Instructor will introduce you to the basic skills and equipment needed to experience the thrill of breathing underwater for the very first time. Try Dive donation is £20.
A typical Try Dive session lasts about one hour. It involves poolside tuition on diving techniques and equipment, followed by a scuba dive in our pool with a BSAC-qualified instructor.Book a Try Dive
