Seasearch dive – Hilpsford Point 25th September 2021
Some fine calm weather encouraged us to take the big boat out around to the west of Walney an area which has not been surveyed before. Unfortunately some turbulent weather earlier in the week meant the visibility was poor making identification of the species and photography difficult.
Once again however, it was amazing though to see the amount of life just beneath the waves. A sandy / pebbly sea bed covered in mixed sea weeds, lots of starfish and anemones again plus the odd cat shark. An interesting, challenging, dive in an area we must re-visit
