Helen Skelton’s Lost & Found in Lakes returns for series 2 on 5th January 2026 at 2pm on BBC 1, repeated at 6.00am on Tuesday 6th January 2026 and weekly thereafter.
A number of club members feature in the programmes, one of which was filmed on the outskirts of Barrow. There are 16 episodes in the series
Series one of Lost and Found in the Lakes proved popular with audiences for its emotional reunions and the touching tales behind the items that go missing among the fells, lakes, and trails of the region and was BBC One’s highest-rated unscripted show in its slot in the past year.
The first series, which ran over 16 episodes, saw detectorists and divers hunt for everything from wedding rings to motorbikes.
In the show, Skelton reunites people with treasured possessions they’d feared were gone forever.
But Skelton and her team don’t just recover lost items; they dive deep to bring back treasured memories and heartfelt stories from the depths of the Lake District.
The Cumbria-based series captures the drama and suspense of uncovering the lost items, as well as talking to the people who have an emotional connection to both the area and the items lost.
