The Port of Barrow in Furness core companies generously donate to Furness diving Club.

Boskalis Westminster.

Their head office is located in Papendrecht and have an extensive network of branches around the world. They operate in 90 countries and across six continents, with a versatile fleet of more than 600 vessels and floating equipment.

 

Underwater Diving services.

Based in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, they were formed in 1975 and became a limited company in 1990. They operate nationally and are registered with the Health & Safety Executive for Commercial Diving Operations within the United Kingdom territorial waters. Currently they have 6 full time employees and access to more than 120 professional, skilled personnel through their portfolio of sub-contract labour. Their accreditations demonstrate compliance to all industry standards and their core principles are based on delivering safety and quality for every project.

All diving operations adhere to statutory UK Health & Safety Executive Diving at Work Regulations 1997, Approved Code of Practice L104 for inshore/inland diving. UDS have been a member of the Association of Diving Contractors (ADC) for many years and plays an active role in ADC matters.

 

Associated British Ports.

Their mission is “Keeping Britain Trading”. They have a network of 21 ports handling around one quarter of the UK’s seaborne trade, and over £150 billion of UK trade annually.

ABP also offers large areas of development land across a wide range of strategic port locations, capable of attracting investment and delivering transformational benefits for the economy both locally and nationally. ABP is dedicated to supporting the communities which rely on their ports.

 

Bay Towage and Salvage ltd.

Based at Barrow-in-Furness docks on the English west coast. They have workshop and office facilities for their tugs/workboat craft and smaller workboats and operate both around the UK and Ireland. They have licensed Boatmen and Ropers.

Bay Towage has a well maintained & diversified fleet which they continue to improve and refit. Their vessels are MCA coded for UK & Ireland operations and work in accordance with MCA recommendations and relevant European standards.
