Based in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, they were formed in 1975 and became a limited company in 1990. They operate nationally and are registered with the Health & Safety Executive for Commercial Diving Operations within the United Kingdom territorial waters. Currently they have 6 full time employees and access to more than 120 professional, skilled personnel through their portfolio of sub-contract labour. All diving operations adhere to statutory UK Health & Safety Executive Diving at Work Regulations 1997, Approved Code of Practice L104 for inshore/inland diving. UDS have been a member of the Association of Diving Contractors (ADC) for many years and plays an active role in ADC matters.

Bay Towage has a well maintained & diversified fleet which they continue to improve and refit. Their vessels are MCA coded for UK & Ireland operations and work in accordance with MCA recommendations and relevant European standards.
